We started Cocoon on a simple belief: the most comfortable thing in your home shouldn't be the thing you hide. Too many throws get folded into a closet the moment company arrives. Ours are made to stay out, designed with the weight, drape, and palette to belong in the room as much as on the couch.

To redefine what a blanket can be. Not an afterthought tucked away, but a designed object you build a space around. We make Cocoons in considered palettes and lasting materials, the kind of softness you keep close and on display, season after season.

In 2024, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. Many late nights were spent talking with the people closest to me about what came next and where I hoped to be ten years from then. Those conversations became a source of clarity, and over time, two things became unmistakably clear. The first was something that had been true for as long as I can remember: I have an almost comical love for an incredibly soft blanket. They have always been my favorite little indulgence—the thing I reach for at the end of a long day—and my favorite gift to give to the people I love.

The second was realizing just how fortunate I was to be surrounded by extraordinarily talented people. I found myself wanting to build something meaningful with them—something we could be proud of for years to come. When I asked my husband and his sister to join me in creating Cocoon, I had very little to offer beyond a vision. There were no guarantees, only the belief that we could create something truly exceptional together. I will always be grateful that they believed in that vision and took that leap of faith with me.
